I took my Dad up to the Olympic Mountains today. We went to the Hamma Hamma Oyster farm and picked up a dozen Blue Pool & Hamma Hamma Oysters. We went up the Hamma Hamma River road. The snow was quite heavy. We went as far as the subaru would take us and did some snow shoeing. Lit a fire with some oak that I brought. Had some Sausages and raw oysters with cocktail sauce and cooked the others on the coals with a garlic, shallot and green onion compound butter. I have to admit, Im not a big oyster fan, but I ate my share today. They were excellent. Fun to spend the time with my dad, and a fire in the snow. It was all in all a great day. -Thanks Dad for a fun day. Also for lending the subaru for the day with it’s 4wheel drive capabilities. I thought it could of done better, but maybe with different tires. If you haven’t been to the Hamma Hamma Oyster farm, you should! Thanks for the great seafood!
