A Bad Day/Mental Health

What does it mean to have Mental Health issues?

Some day’s you literally cannot get yourself out of bed.  You may have plans, things that you really want to do and get done.  Your actually excited to do the night before.  When your alarm goes off there is nothing in you to actually get up and get going.  Instead of seeing all the things you can do, you are overwhelmed by all the things around that you can’t get done.  Things stack up, life feels unsurmountable.  You lye in bed the entire day fighting negative thoughts.  As the sun goes down, your reminded by yet another failure, a day you could of gotten things done but didn’t.  You may have the perfect life, you are blessed.  Yet every day is a fight to just get up.  Depression sets in, anxiety becomes crippling.  People see a healthy able bodied person, no Physical inability.  You feel just as unable to walk as a person without legs, you are paralyzed, but nothing is paralyzing you except your own brain.  You feel alone.  It doesn’t ever end, it get better, it gets worse.  It gets tolerable.  You smile to those around you.  If your lucky, you have a close friend who you can talk with.  Your afraid to talk too much or too often.  You burn out friends.  Marriage is hard, you don’t know how much to share.  Your kids worry about you. They shouldn’t have to worry about their parent, but they do.  God feels distant, but He is there.  He is alway’s there.  You trust in Him.  He will get you through.  Doesn’t feel like it.  But you must hold onto this truth.

Thankyou Lord for your Faithfulness. Thankyou for never giving up on me. Thankyou for being there even when I don’t feel like you are. God, you are bigger than all our problems. Some Mental, some physical. In all things you are there. Thankyou.
